Just had my first AI/Automated Recruiter Screen. It took 26 minutes. Her name was Alex.
Let me tell you about it:
❓ She was quite good at summarizing my replies and reframing them into the next question.
💰 She asked the normal screening questions - awesome.
🤯 Then she took me through a full-on interview....wait, what? Yeah. Tools & techniques, collaboration, processes, communication, handling competing priorities, setting expectations, building trust. And that's just the stuff I can remember!
💡 Then she asked me if I had any questions. And actually answered them. It was pretty phenomenal actually.
🌟 Next step: she'll send my answers to a recruiter and they'll reach out to me if there's interest.
🤞 PICK ME!

I signed up on Remote and completed a discovery interview with Alex AI. The experience? Surprisingly human, deeply insightful, and far from generic.
I walked away with relevant, real-time feedback. The kind that actually helps candidates reflect and grow.
For hiring teams and TA leaders, Alex AI could save time, expand reach, and add structure and transparency to early-stage interviews without compromising the human touch.
For candidates, it’s a game-changer. No awkward uploads. Just an honest, AI-enabled conversation that respects your time and helps you improve.
Instead of the old “send us an audio or video recording,” I believe we’ll see more two-way, real-time AI conversations that feel natural, provide actionable feedback, and scale far beyond what manual screening ever could.
I recently tried this myself.
After following Julian Komarov’s advice, I signed up on Remote and completed a discovery interview with Alex AI, and I’ll be honest, I underestimated "her" at first. I went in a bit casual. 😅
But the experience? Surprisingly human, deeply insightful, and far from generic.

I have always had mixed feelings about first-stage interviews. Too often, the person across the table has no technical background. Instead of evaluating skills, it feels like they are running through a script or checking a box. It is a waste of time for both sides, and many in tech know this frustration well.
Then came my surprise: a first-stage interview run entirely by Alex AI. No bias, no checklist, no empty small talk. The AI captured the essence of my answers, summarized them, and gave me space to explain what mattered. For once, I did not have to dumb down my expertise. I felt understood.
Who else here has had a lovely chat with Alex AI, the AI interviewer? I appreciate that she’ll call me instantly and conduct my “interview” at 2:13am on a Saturday night. In terms of responsiveness, she’s already got most human recruiters beat. 😅
The interview process was structured, efficient, and designed to simulate a real world interview environment.
What I found particularly valuable was the immediate feedback on my communication style, thought process, and response structure. It provided a data-driven view of my interview performance, helping me identify areas for improvement and growth.
In a world where recruitment is becoming increasingly digital, AI interviews like this offer a modern, objective, and scalable way to assess readiness and skills.
Well, I finally had my first AI Zoom interview. It featured Alex, a live LLM.
I talked to her via a Zoom like platform. My camera was on. Suit and tie, ready to go. She asked me typical job role questions and commented on my responses. It felt surprisingly human, which was the most interesting thing.
The interview went well. It sure is a more efficient way to navigate job applicants from a HR perspective. This technology is effective, and I only see it becoming more common.
I just had an initial interview for a Customer Success Manager role - entirely conducted by an AI bot. . . and it was actually a very positive experience!
It can feel a little daunting interacting with AI tools. This experience was comfortable, and felt like there was an actual human asking the questions. They were thoughtful and considerate questions, but what made it feel even better? The responses.
Alex continually gave me positive feedback, told me I gave thoughtful answers. In a world that feels so fraught, this was a nice touch.

Today I had a unique experience of an interview with an AI assistant. Alex did a great job providing basic Q&A along with the link for the scheduled interview.
To summarize, I love the approach. The company made it as easy and as comfortable for the end user to set proper expectation for the experience.
Good job Alex AI. Thank you for such a fun and humble experience!

The most challenging stage for a Human Resources manager is always hiring the right person for a job.
This step often takes a lot of time and effort, and the HR manager might lack the technical knowledge to assess the candidate properly. However, in the era of rapidly growing artificial intelligence, I would like to express my admiration for "Alex AI" 👏
It feels like conducting a personal interview with a person who possesses vast knowledge across all fields more than the job applicants themselves. It will record the interview, analyze the conversation, and evaluate the job candidate in each aspect with unmatched proficiency. 🤩
The first interview was with Alex, an AI interviewer powered by Alex AI. From the very first question, I felt like I was speaking to an actual person.
What truly amazed me was Alex’s ability to adapt and ask follow-up questions based on my responses. It was interactive, intuitive, and felt so natural that I almost forgot I was talking to AI.
I left the interview feeling relaxed, engaged, and impressed with the technology. Kudos to the team at Apriora for creating such a seamless experience!

Just completed our first AI interview with Allen Recruitment using Alex AI! The experience was great.
I just experienced my first 🤖 AI interview 🤖 , and I have to say, it went pretty well.
Recruiters are getting flooded with applications in this job market, and if tools like this can help more candidates get interviewed, that feels like a win.
Personally, I know my interviews tend to be stronger than my resume. I hope this format helped me to stand out as a candidate. Thank you Capstone IT Staffing and Alex AI for the pleasant AI interview experience, Alex did a great job! 👏 👏 👏
I’ve seen a lot of debate about this lately, and I get it - new technology always raises questions. But after experiencing my first AI interview earlier this year (powered by Alex.com, co-founded by Aaron Wang and John Rytel), I remember thinking: “Wow. I wish humans interviewed like this.”
And even though that job wasn’t in the cards for me, it still remains one of my favorite interview processes I’ve ever gone through to this day. Alex didn’t just ask me questions. It summarized my answers, connected them to the job, and even let me ask it questions back. I left the conversation feeling more understood, not less.
